I miss so many of DC's Circle Theaters from the 80s. The programming at Washington Circle Theater rivaled the programming at any LA or New York repertory house. After seeing a Kurosawa double bill at the Inner Circle, I realized how much George Lucas had cribbed from the Japanese auteur. Cherished the opportunity to catch every independent and foreign release at the Outer Circle. Of course, the Key, Biograph, and K-B Janus were pretty great, too.
