Dear Friends, Some months are so full or so painful that we have trouble forgetting them. For example, 35 years ago yesterday I graduated from college. Like a wedding, a momentous graduation can root our memories in a particular time and place. I remember donning a red cap and gown and then filing with several others into Dickerson Field with the thousands of other Boston University graduates. 1989 was the sesquicentennial year for BU (150 years), so to mark the occasion, we had the sitting President of the United States, George H.W.
